Walter Duncan was a British painter. He was born in 1848 in London, He died in 1932 in Richmond, London. He completed his early studies in the family with his father Edward Duncan. His father was a member of the "Royal Society of Watercolours" in London. In 1871 he married Harriet Charlotte Florence Pigott née Condy (1846-1880), the daughter of the painter Nicholas Matthews Condy and his wife Flora Ross née Gallie (1822-1900). He lived in London, then later in Surrey.
